With a change in the way people work, Singapore's Central Business District (CBD) faces new threats as it relies largely on an office-based employment model.

However, there have been plans to rejuvenate the CBD to make it a more attractive place to live and work in, with some suggestions like including more amenities as well as restaurants and bars. 

Christine Sun, Senior Vice President of Research and Analytics at OrangeTee & Tie, said city-centre homes might particularly appeal to younger Singaporeans, adding that outdoor playgrounds as well as cheaper eateries will be needed to cater to such demographic.
